    FSP Forum WTF

Freestateproject.org has forums... that require membership. Other than the fact that last week there was a PHP error, i tried to register tonight, and it was telling me i was typing the CAPTCHA wrong. Now wtf? I was typing in C50FG (five alphanumerics that it was showing).

ERror, you typed it wrong <BR> please go back, refresh the page, and try again.

the BR tag was in there. haha.

Now, i go back, do it again, error again.

Third try, i try all lower case (even though the captcha text is in uppercase) and it worked.

    W TEH F.

You can't expect conservatives to be able to think deeply enough to program a good website.

    libertarians aren't conservatives perse.

I am the polar opposite of a libertarian, which technically puts me on the right wing side of things, even though i disagree strongly with those ideals. in a 1 dimensional plot of ideals, i am to the left. in a 2d plot, i sit in the first quadrant. means i lean left, and towards go'mint control of saftey, but i can't stand business. etc etc etc. dunno why i replied as such... we'll see.

Your particular political view is usually called "statism" which means large government control.  In practice this is basically soviet style communism.

TO be honest though, my last post wasn't serious.  It was a joke carried from another thread :)

I'd consider it European style socialism. (Social democracy)

Communism is an excessive form of social democracy, just as nazism is an excessive form of conservatism.

Argh, why do I always end up in these political battles? :P

    The 4 ideologies:

Libertarian: Less government regulations on both social and economic issues  ( If it feels good, do it. )

Conservative: More government regulation on social issues, Less on economic  (Let businesses do what they want, but make sure everyone goes to church)

Liberal: Less government regulations on social issues, More on economic issues  (Gay marriage and High taxes)

Populist: More government regulation of both social and economic issues  ( Hitler? )

Note -- none of the parenthesized comments reflect my actual opinions, I tried to equally bash every ideology.

If you want to test out your position within the 2d political plane, try http://www.quiz2d.com. I guess I'm a libertarian.

That quiz is very, very american.  As a Canadian, I don't know what the hell half of the questions are about (we don't have a problem with illigal Mexican immigrants here), and the other half seemed like total non-sequiters.
It's funny because it's out of context.

I'm sure the project has a nice goal, but whenever I've heard anyone describe it, it sounds pretty scary.  They basically want to "take over" an entire state.  What about the poor bastards currently living there because they like the way it's run?

It's not really a take over. although when you describe it properly, the only idiom i can think of is "you gotta break some eggs to make an omelet."

I dunno, i'm mostly moving cause my friends are, and i don't like california, and i can't imagine living in the south for that long, so NH it is. :-)

I've been described as extremely liberal, and also tonight i was summed up as an anarcho-socialist.

Just to let you know, New Hampshire is becoming a suburb of Massachusetts.  In 1996 "Buchanan for President" signs were everywhere.  By 2004 they were John Kerry signs.
